Outta Time
He told them, screamed and yelled at them to leave
He pleaded with them, cried and called for them when they left.
They were ruining his life he had told them.
They were only trying to help he now told himself.
He didn’t have a problem he had repeated to them.
They were right, they were right he now repeated to himself.
But they were gone now; he had chased them away.
He quickly succumbed to the addiction again.
They’re wrong, they’re wrong he began to repeat to himself,
As he swallowed pill after pill, everything began to blur and blacken
I need help; I need help he admitted his wrong,
Too bad he was outta time.
